Yes,My main computer took a crap,now I am stuck with this one. It is
SIS motherboard 651C-6A7IAFK9C-00 AND THE PROCESSOR IS A
NORTHWOOD INTEL 2.0 GHZ. Now I would like to know if it is possible to
overclock this and how far can I go before it will get hot..
I am new to this so please bare with me.. Any Ideas ?

I have an Intel P4 Northwood 2.0GHz in my secondary rig.
I got mine up to 2.4GHz, it ran stable and idled at around 50*C.

This was with a really crap motherboard though, I had a Sony VAIO PC which also limited my overclocking.

Have a go getting it up to 2.4GHz, I didn't need to change any voltages for that speed and I was on stock cooling.

If you have a B0 stepped P4a 2ghz you will only get 2.4-2.5 max. They all seem to max out at the same speed.
Anything other than B0 stepped usually can go higher.

I couldnt comment on the temperature, mine doesnt seem to change much. I idle at 18-19 and its goes to about 30 max.

As for voltage, I found litte benefit in running it above 1.55v. The only time it was worth it was when I did the voltage mod to 1.7v or 1.8v which allowed 133 FSB. I dont recommend that though! Use extra voltage to help stabalize an overclock not to reach that slighlty higher speed. Especially with the nortwood, they can just die one day.

I was able to get up to 2.44 ghz ,I think that is more than enough for me.
