The fan on this piece of hardware in my PC is faulty (circled in yellow):

It's making an annoying vibrating sound. I need to replace the fan on this if possible. For all I know, it's the CPU or something major (hardware ain't my forte).

On the fan it has the URL spacewalker.com (if that helps) but that URL was no help to me.

Can anyone advise what this piece of hardware is and if I can replace the fan on top without replacing whatever it's cooling (which sits beneath the fan).

    Please assist if you can.

    Thanks.

Its the northbridge chipset cooling fan.
Any 40mm 3 pin fan should screw right on.

Thanks Pelvis - so I can just replace the fan, not what's underneath (whatever is actually underneath)

As long as the motherboard actually works then you will just have to replace the fan.
