The clamp which holds the CPU in place is bent upwards slightly, which leads me to believe that if I put my processor in (Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 - socket 775) the socket in the motherboard (also socket 775 - and states specifically that it supports Core 2 Duo processors), the processor and the board wil be damaged... Can anyone tell me whether this supposed to be the case or not? Thanks.
No, but it's not a problem anymore, since my Dad just decided to close the clamp on my processor anyway, so if it's working, then fine, but if not, he has to buy me a new one Thanks for replying though
