    Link.

Most of you know that AOL sucks, but I guess this one rep would let this poor guy cancel his account without a crapload of harrassment.

I sat there and actually laughed at reading that, hilarious.

It makes you wonder what makes some support people so damn annoying. Is it because they know you're on the phone and can't punch them, I bet they wouldn't be like that face-to-face.

Don't you think that the guy at AOL had it on loadspeaker with loads of other support people stood behind him laughing? They probably take bets to see who can keep someone on the phone longest for no reason.

At least he spoke to them.

Long story but we cancelled an account with pipex, had to pay a fee cos we ended the contract early but they kept on taking money out of my account. Lost over £10 cos of that and never got it back.
Plus the username and password took 2 months to arrive in the post, but that was royal mails fault.

Tried and tried and tried to speak to someone, im talking about sitting in a queue for hours... them getting cut off. That cost money on the phone bill!

AOL had a scheme with their phone service employers to save as many of their customers as possible who call to cancel their accounts.

So this would probably be normal behaviour. someone just recorded it this time.
