Ok, hello... Ive just switch from the console version of F@H and i cant get it to 'keep' the settings that i want.... what i mean is i configure it using " -config". The console then set about doing some work. BUT, When i restarted my computer i was browsing about the folder i placed the exe in and i had a look in "MyFolding.html" and this is what i saw :'-( Your information User name: Anonymous Team number: 0 what all that about! i set my name as 'Publicenemyno9681' andf my team as 38417 (Zone365)..... Im using the beta version, but i would have thought something as 'central' as this would be working (or am i just being dumb?) ps, i could try editing 'client.cfg' but im not so sure about this as there are some unknown charecters in it (and i wont get anywhere if i dont get it right!) "[settings] username=Anonymous team=0 asknet=no machineid=1 [http] active=no host=localhost port=8080 usereg=no" well that was interesting.... when i paste the text here it makes sence!, i tried editing it and pasting it back but it didnt have the '[]' charecters *edit* whats happend to the zone365 team on f@h??? no1 cept me seems to have completed and submitted a WU in ages, is this a cruel trick *edit*
you'd fine that now I am second as I am f@h 24/7. as for the problem, thats quite odd, try downloading again and going though the little automated process again.
Ive just tried editing the config file manually..... the links in myfolding.html still point towards the anon account but im smart enuf to find my page myslef (hehe, but only just!) Im gona wait till my current WU ends, which will prolly be today or v early 2moz! can anyone tell em what the labels relate to in the config file? i will label the ones i know [settings] username=publicenemyno9681 <-- me team=38417 <-- zone365 asknet=no <-- ask to use network machineid=1 <-- ????????????????? [http] active=no <-- ????????????????? host=localhost <-- 127.0.0.1, but why does it need it? port=8080 <-- app port usereg=no <-- ?????????????????
