That's one of the best Video Cards money can buy, not to mention expensive. You'll be extremely happy with that card :)
Your current card i'm guessing would be under $100 new as it's a budget card!
P.S - Have you made sure your Power Supply is beefy enough to run that 6800 Ultra OC?

Why does it say its with a water block?
the picture dont show a waterblock, i would not trust that :\

also for that price on newegg, well infact cheaper, you can get a 7800gt card, the card on the site you linked to is an excellent card, but nto worth how much there charging, look on www.newegg.com for a better price :)

i would think your 9700 brand new is worth about £55-£75, dont know how much that is in dollars, but, if its worth about under $100, then in english terms that would be about, £45

correct me if i am wrong but, think newegg is in usa and canada.
you meant 450watt psu did you?
i would reccomend a new psu that is at least 450 watt but is by a well known brand like antec, tagen etc...

i have looked at newegg and all i can see is 6800gt's but no ultras.

and from that card on the website you linkes to, seems like you need AGP, so i would reccomendd going with a BFG 6800GT, the only diffo between ultras and gt's is clock speeds i think.

I'd probably suggest a 550W PSU, the Antec True Power and the OCZ Modstream series are excellent and not too expensive!

if you have a slow cpu, then a high end graphics card, there will be a bottlekneck i think, and you wont get as much performance out fo your card.

plz correct me if i am wrong guys :)

Yes willhub, that's correct - nVidia recently lowered their official requirements to a 350W PSU but BFG still maintains a 480W PSU requirement!

Come to think of it, that Video Card is way overkill for your PC, your just going to bottleneck your CPU to hell. Correct me if i'm wrong, but is'nt your A7V8X-X a micro ATX board?

Your computer specs say you have a AXP 2500+ Barton... so did you upgrade without updating your specs? Or is it a 2500+ overclocked to a 3200+?

so you have a barton 3200+ and not an xp :)

i dont know much about AMD, but is a 3200+ barton the equivalant of somthing like a 2.8ghz pentium 4?
so maybe it wuddent be that bad getting that card, although, i would reccomend a new motherboard :\.
