ddr's long name is ddr sdram dude don't get worried your mobo can have a integrated gfx or the system is running on dual mode try resetting the jumper and next time give more info about the problem
I'd make sure you got 2 1GB sticks for starters. You may have ended up with a pair of 512MB ones instead. Also, there's no need to use all caps when typing. We can read your post as well, and it's considered to be shouting.
