Asus Maximus III Formula 3 way sli

    Hi forum,

    Can someone advise if I can use 3 nvidia 260 in 3 way sli,

    I know that for dual cards I will get 16x speed from each slot and maybe 4x speed from the 3 rd slot, or am I incorrect, Will it really make any difference to performance having 2 cards sli or 3 way sli,

    Hi just checked your motherboard and the third pci-express x16 slot runs at x4 mode so (1GB/s bus) Personally I wouldn't bother going 3 way sli with that bus cap because you won't notice much difference at all because these Nvidia gtx 260's are Pci-express x16 2.0 cards and they will perform alot better with the Pci-express x16 2.0 bus cap (4GB/s).
