Hello all, I have the following problem with new pc just assebled:

The font on screen are distorted, for instance the backslash does not show a straight line but rather 3 short lines connected like stairs. The fonts are like mosaic ot an ascii art lol.

    ----------------------
    Specs:
    i920
    P6T SE
    GSkill 3x2gb 2000mhz kit
    XFX GTX285 DDR3 1gb 648bit
    Corsair 650W
    HD 750gb WD
    -----------------------
Now I've done a few tests:
    1. Checked the vcard on another pc - its fine.
    2. Put another vcard(7800gtx) to this pc - still distorted.
    3. Tried different drivers: from the cd, from XFX site and nvidia latest 190.38, still the problem is there..
    4. 2 OS's: XP 64bit, XP 32bit - both have the same problem.
    5. 4 different monitors and resolutions.
    6. Put the vcard in second PCIe slot.

Do you have any thoughts on this issue?

Hello all again, sorry for not replying, was busy.. Anyway somehow the problem was solved although its hard to tell what it was. So What I did was (not necessarily in that order):

    * Put the bios to defaults
    * There are 3 PCIe slots (triple crossfire) so I changed the slots a few times and put it back to upper slot.
    * Switched to Clear type fonts

    Thanks all for your help.
