Ati radeon 9550 or Winfast Fx5200?

    Ati Radeon 9550 128mb 128bit compare with Winfast Fx5200 256mb 128bit.which 1 better performance??
    Pls give some opinion guys.Thank you

    You're looking at similar performance, but this depends on what you're playing. OpenGL rendering tends to run a little better on nVidia hardware, whereas DirectX has an edge with ATi chips. If you're not gaming at all, the Radeon is what you want, no question. If you're looking at these for gaming, I'd really recommend looking at a Radeon 9600Pro or GeForceFX 5700 at the very least.

    The 9550 is the better bet, granted neither will give you astounding performace but don't let the 256MB's of mem fool you. Yes that's a lot but that card could never play any of the games that really use that much vram anyway, or at least no play them well. The 9550 is a decent card, the 128-bit interface makes a difference too, compaired to the 5200's 64-bit route. For the money, this is still a nice card and will perform better than the two you have listed: 9600 Pro.
