hi,
I'm new here, I signed up to get some help, and see if I could help others.
My problem is with my graphics card driver. My card is an ATI Radeon X1200.
I am learning to program games with XNA 4.0 and have encountered a few issues. everything compiles just fine, but when I go to run the game I get the same error each time.
the error message:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
no suitable graphics card found.
Could not find a Direct3D device that supports the XNA Framework HiDef profile.
Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed.
Make sure the desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full
screen mode.
Avoid running under Remote Desktop or as a Windows Service.
Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other information:
My operating system is windows 7 SP1
I have ATI catalyst control center installed on my computer and have installed the legacy driver.
i have attempted to adjust the hardware acceleration to Full, but my graphics card won't support changing the settings.
in short, I've reached the limit of my skills, and *really* need some help.
so, even if your answer is that my graphics card is too old, any and all help is appreciated. Any further information you may need i would be happy to provide.
thanks in advance,
Sebastien
