    Hi all

I get this error message "bad CMOS settings" 2 short beeps and 1 normal beep at startup press F1 to run setup F2 to reset to default at every boot which eventually changes system date time to the year 2002 and few of the programs quit working. I also tried new cmos batteries. I recently had added a new 256mb ram stick to this.
Cud anyone help me with this

    Many thanks

I'd also try just one memory stick at a time to see if the problem persists. Try running "Memtest" and see if you have memory errors. I think there's some sort of timing issue involved here. Good luck!

I think the pc2100 ram is causing the problem. pc2100 runs at 133mhz FSB which is fine for a Celeron processor but not for a p4.
