Hi, i am now not allowed to play music with any bass at all bcause the "boom" gets through to the neighbours house, moving to the otherside of the house may sort this quite alot, but no my parents wont have that, so anyway to reduce the bass?, i am prepred to spend up to 150 quid.

Okay this is going to sound like a freaking weird suggestion but stay with me on this one.

    Turn the bass down maybe?!

*EDIT - I wonder if you could soundproof your entire room for £150 - I highly doubt it...*

i dont mean sound proof an entire room.

I cant turn the bass down, any further and it just wont sound good at all!, i have the volume set at 5, nice volume, but to have the bass at a nice level with it, it's too loud, so anyway to reduce bass been transmitted to next door with 150 quid?, turning down is just plain silly when it aint even loud.

Place lots of vibration-absorbing materials between the sub and the place where you don't want the bass to reach. Sound-proofing material is specially designed to absorb lots of vibration.

Which player are u using in your computer?? I guess Windows Media Player..
If you go to enhancements and then select Graphic Equilizer...Reduce the bass from there.
It realy sounds funny:doh: if you are paying 150Grands just to reduce the bass...

no, if i want to reduce the bass press the subwoofer button on my logitech remote, i dont want to reduce the bass, my latest attempt to reduce vibrations at least is this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/thehub/DSCF0562.jpg.

I aint trying to reduce bass in my room, hell i am trying was trying to increase it, i want to reduce it next door, which i need some sort of sound proofing or insulation.

Does balancing your bass on polystyrene help any? When we were attempting to soundproof my cousins garage we got the foamy stuff...I was cool it was like spike of soft foam and we put it all over the walls....it also meant we could throw each other into it. It was fairly cheap too.

The polystyrene should cause a pretty big difference as it not only absorbs some of the shock its also higher from the floor. If they are still complaining my suggestion would be to tell them to "stop fucking moaning" your trying your best to stop the sound and if they are really that annoyed then they can give you the money to get your room soundproofed.

hmmm, yea, you have a point :p, i am going to buy some propor spike thing for the bottom of the sub, apparently they stop vibration through the floor by alot, that spikey foam stuff would be cool, however my parents wont let me have somthing like that on the walls :(

Do you live in a house of paper? One of those modern houses where the walls are like 1cm thick.

I live in a 1900's terraced house next to a railway line and i barely here the trains. They don't make houses like they used to.

Try eggboxes as soundproof thats what blue peter used to suggest anyway.

the house i live in is about 50 years old, maybe older, the walla inbetween houses are only 1brick thick but the outside wallas are dual layer of brick with a brick thick gap inbetween with insulation inbetween, now breeze blocks. Hmm eggboxes, i cant cover my wall in those lol..

r u listening to the music during the day like after 10pm-10pm. if yes, then tell ur neighbours to breeze out nd get a different house coz u r allowed to listen to music during that time.

i wud suggest blasting the music even louder to encourage them to move away somwhere

lol, i blasted it as loud as i could before, i always bottomed the subwoofer out from pushing it far far far too hard, i dont play music loud forever, just about 1 hour a day, i always stop playing music after 9pm, i usually never play loud music untill after dinner, maybe i can cut it down now, i found my headphone jack, but still, i like to feel the bass, but apparently i am driving next door insane and the next door neighbours wife is apparently having a nervous breakdown almost, i am getitng used to playing music at lower levels, but if i find out nextdoor neighbours are out, i then start to blast my music :p
