Well recently i added a 8800gtx to my system as well as a 600W power supply with dual rail which equals 38 on the 12v. Today I was playing STALKER and suddenly i heard a few beeping sounds. Of course my first thought was temps but i checked and even felt around and the temps were well within normal range. My next guess would be the power supply but I'm not sure why that would beep. Here is my system: AMD 4200+ x2 processor 1GB ram 600W power supply BFG 8800GTX OC
Does the system turn off after these beeps? Also, how many times does it beep, and are these short or long beeps?
it didn't turn off but I'm pretty sure it was the built in beep that the 8800s have when they aren't getting enough power. I plugged in one of the fans in the wrong place but I plugged it into a different place and now everything seems fine, have ran the lost planet dx10 twice and played STALKER for a while whereas before i fixed it, it would've beeped during the first lost planet =P
