    This is kind of a tough one for all of us into this sort of thing I'm sure but do you're best to compile a list if you like.
    It's a bit to hard to rank them in my opinion so I'll just shout out some of my favs. They don't necessarily have to be weapons available to the player either.
    Gravity Gun from HL2 naturally
    Chain gun from Duke Nukem' 3D
    Energy Sword from Halo 2
    Assult Rifle from Halo 1
    Magnum from HL2
    Blades of Chaos from God of War
    Double Barrled shotgun from Doom series
    "Grace" from Unreal 2 (am I the only one who liked that game?)
    Rocket Launcher from Unreal Tournament 2k3/4
    Chainsaw from Doom series
    Redeemer and Carbine from Darkwatch
    Auto shotgun and Railgun from Red Faction
    Whip from Castlevania
    Mario's butt-stop
    Let's see what the rest of you are into.

    Man I forgot about a lot of those for some reason. Devil may Cry had some sweet weapons, as did FEAR (best grenades ever), and I'm just now remembering the freezer gun from DN3D. Though it's ever better when you add in the mighty boot or whatever they called it. Bust those enemy's appart once you froze them. Pretty novel for the time.
