I wonder why NVIDIA doesn't sell their graphics cards on their own. In my country GeForce 8800 GT from Palit has appeared. I wonder if Palit is good. Yes, their graphics cards ARE overclocked, but I wonder - which NVIDIA reseller is the best. On how they overclock and stuff... by the way, Palit has more overclocked GeForce 8800 GT than XFX! Does this means, that Palit is better than XFX? Anyway, in my country GeForce 8800 GT appeared under Palit, but I still wish to know which reseller overclocks the best and just which reseller is the best. If you know which one is - please, reply here. Thanks.
Well, by going for Palit means that you will play lottery (mostly like with all other cards), but remember - cheaper cards sometimes mean in reduced quality of components (In Lithuania Palit products are cheaper than all different manufacturers similiar products). I would go for XFX. Also, you can take a look at Gigabyte, MSI, Leadtek, Asus, XFX and other.. BTW, I've got 8800GTX OC edition from MSI and it has defects - a day later im going to replace it with another one.
Most companies use the nVidia reference design and may slap a different cooler on it. Some better recognized brands will command a higher price, but others may be overclocked or offer more options, like a game or premium cooling.
