bios guide

    Ive just found a usefull guide to bios.
    It hasnt been updated since 2001 but it is still a decent guide.

    Thanks, i'll now be able to update myself (but it'll only be good for about 6 - 12 months, at least until EFI hits)

    I dont think BIOS is completely getting the boot. Or at least not until POST is totally redundant. POST will still be relied upon by some hardware/firmware, because of this I think UEFI can sit on top of BIOS.

    Ive got a lot of catching up to do with computers and if I dont hurry up its going to be a right pain in the arse!
    Its only recently I turned mine back on after a long time of it being in the attic.
    Intels 1mb cache prescott was just out, and I was all excited about dual ddr!
    I imagine canterwood M/Bs are cheap as chips now.
