Ahh, yes. 2K Games has taken heat for the 2 lifetime installs for Bioshock, and upped it to 5. Unfortunately, they're making enemies again thanks to the SecureROM validation program, made by Sony. This happens to include a rootkit and comes with not just the full game, but the demo as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Sony already end up in major legal hot water over the original rootkit debacle?
SecureROM is a technology made by Sony, just as StarForce has been made by another company. And they're both a rootkit. The license has been bought by 2K, so it's their fault.
Very true. However, Sony is still going to take heat over this. 2K should too obviously, but with Sony's past transgression in this matter, they're already a painted target.
