bizarre noises from speakers

hi....hope someone can help with this. whenever i am online, out of nowhere i will hear the sound of a squeaking door opening coming from my speakers...then i will hear the sound of a door slamming shut. sometimes i hear a roar coming from the speakers. no idea what this is, but it's nerve wracking.
i have ran an antivirus to see if that is the cause but zip...nothing.
can anyone offer any help or advice?

Do you have any equipment like phones/radios that could cause a disturbance?

 

no...it is definitely not from a radio or television or anything of that nature, i am fairly sure. it is definitely something that has found it's way into this system and i can't figure out what it is, but it is driving me nuts.
it does not happen every thirty minutes or anything with regularity. just out the blue, it will do it, but it does it every single day, at least twice or three or four times.
to record it would be tough as i have nothing that would record for the whole day and since i have no way of knowing exactly when it is going to occur, it would be just hit or miss.
if i can catch it and record it , i will.

have you tried scanning for viruses etc?

Try reinstalling your sound card driver.

 

yes...i've scanned for viruses several times in hopes that it will do something....nothing. i've thought maybe it was some form of spyware so i've scanned for that also, several times....again..nothing.

i am not familiar with how to reinstall sound card.......i will look into it, though, and try that. starting to creep me out...lol

actually, it's gone on for several months...i'm just so sick of it.

find out what sound card you have, then we can tell you where to get the latest drivers for you to install.
