Hey guys, if someone could help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it. I am running an ASUS Striker Extreme V1, using Corsair XMS2 RAM (800mhz), seagate hard drive, ASUS 285GTX, E6600. No overclocking has been perfomed at this time. This rig had been working fine for two years under the above setup, using a 7950GT card. I recently (6 months) purchased the 285. After deciding to change ym cable management around 9 months ago, I first encurred the proble I am currently experiencing. The system will power up, with both the north bridge and south bridge receiving power. The fans and leds all light up, although the lights on the XMS2 are sparradic. The problem may not be caused by this, but the RAM indicates whether this problem is present; several sections do not light up, and after the hard rive clicks, they all turn off. Initially, the problem persisted for around 6 hours. After continuously rebooting, it suddenly worked, and I then had no complaints from the machine until the next day. This persisted for another few hours. 6 months pass. I install my neww gcard. The problem arises again for a short period and the machine continues to work. The problem has occured occasionaly for brief periods of time ever since, which has caused a mild inconvenience, but I was content for it to simply "work" afterwards. Two days ago, I switched it on, and the problem resurfaced, and this time it has refused to go away. Has anyone any ideas as to what might be causing this? I know ASUS boards have had a myriad of problems, but I am really stumped at this point. An help would be appreciated. Thank you, Mr M
