I recently put together a new PC, and i go to boot, and i pass through the bios, and it asks me which way to boot becuase it was shut down before it could finish, and i have chose safe and normal boot, after i select one, my monitor shuts off, and my computer restarts, i asked to friend if it could be the CMOS battery, becuase it told me it was low, he said no, and im starting to think its the ide controller, but then it wouldnt detect any HDD, can anyone help me? Could it be an error on my drive?

Check your power supply and make sure all the cables in the case are secure. Other than that i cant say.

In BIOS, load Failsafe Defaults or Bios Defualts ans see what happens. Check back on us and provide us with more details like your MOBO Model, Video, PSU, etc.. We can help you better with these infomation.
