boot up problems (power) HELP

    hi
    im using a computer that hasnt been used in a while and when we tried to boot it up nothing happened, so i took off the cover and made sure all the cables were ok which they were then we replaced the BIOS battery and still no luck we also tested the cable for power and restiance also the same with the power supply and still no luck please please can anyone help me

    so far i have taken out the cpu, modem, graphics card, dvd rom drive, floppy drive and hdd but so far has been no luck. how can you tell if the power supply is faulty?

    Try a different one in the same computer and see what happens.

    yea found another psu and the computer works fine thanks for the help
