hey, a while back i had to reset my BIOS due to some OC on my part. after reseting i noticed that everytime i boot now it stops at a detailed BIOS section telling my information about my CPU and RAM and at the bottom it says "Press F1 to continue to windows" or something like that and " PressDel to enter BIOS" imy computer is fine like this but annoying. i want to try to set it back to boot all the way into windows after i press the power button. can anyone help me? i will give more information if needed. thanks
it sound to me like you need a new CMOS / BIOS battery, your date & time will probably need reseting on every boot, do NOT use metal tweesers to remove of put a new batt in, don't worry their cheap enough, check this
ok well i dont think its that because it works fine and i dont need to reset date and time on every boot. it just seems like the standard BIOS setting that it reset to has it locked to catch and stop at the question instead of just having u press del key at the right time to enter BIOS
Try this, next time when you will start your computer, press Del and enter into BIOS. There must be something like Load Fail Safe Defaults.....enable that and save and exit...
hey, i went into BIOS and lookee around and couldnt find it, i did a few thing but didnt think it would affect comp. so when i was restarting to report what i didnt find the computer started normally. thanks
Actually what that Fail Safe Default Settings means is that in your BIOS there should be something from where you can set all the settings to Default... I doubt that you dont have anythong like that.... Anyways, Glad to know that everything sorted now....
