I am interested in putting together an 8-core computer using 2 Intel Nehalem i7 (S1366) cpu's. I have seen a few dual socket 1366 motherboards, but none are available in the large vendors I usually buy from.
My question: Has anyone made a 8 core computer using 2 of these cpu's. If so, which mobo did you use, and would you recommend it.
Another question: Does anyone recommend another way (i.e. with different cpu's) to make a 8 core using 2 quad cores?

I have never even considered that (2x4 that is), but let me put in a comment on the i7. These CPUs are known to get hot. and two of them on the same board? You gotta have a cooling/ventilation plan. I'm just curious here.
