I've been hunting around for parts for a new rig for the last while, and with some help from a few friends, I've come to what I think is a fairly solid list: https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=15194329 Or, if you can't see that: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129181 < case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130782 < GFX card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118031 < disk drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817116015 < PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233296 < RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157296 < motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116501 < CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 < cooling http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441 < SSD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833180079 < Wifi card (I'm getting Windows 7, a mouse, and a keyboard from elsewhere) This is my first home-built computer, and I intend to use it as an all-around college computer sciences rig – gaming, coding, animating, editing videos, the whole shebang. I'm double-checking everything for compatibility, so far I've seen no issues, but if anyone can spot something, let me know. Anything where a part I have is a poor choice, or I'm going overboard, I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance! Additionally, I plan on shipping this rig to Germany. My plan for that was to assemble it, then take the box as a checked bag on my plane flight. Does anyone have any reason why I shouldn't do that, or tips for packing it?
