im new to computers and computer games (2 months........i purchased call of duty 2 and tried it on my p/c it did not work a friend told me i needed to upgrade my graphics card.............this i did, i went to a computer store and purchased a graphic card,the store owner tolm me this card would support all new p/c games. my friend fitted the card and all was well...........after 4 weeks i was playing the game when suddenly the whole screen changed colour to a type of ladder effect with 3 different colours (light blue purple dark blue) this will not go away until i turn off my computer, then appears again after playing for 5 mins, as im new to this can any body out there help me thanks for reading this DOUG
Sounds like the video card may be shot, and if it's within the store's warranty period, exchange it for a new one. If not, then you'll have to work with the company that made the video card.
