Hi, I was thinking of building a skype project system. Can anyone recommend inexpensive components to me? I want to build a system running a very small linux distro that can accommodate a simple camera, and a speaker, (maybe a microphone too). I would also need a network interface, and a maybe wireless connection. I may run all software embedded or from RAM or USB stick. I only want enough horsepower to run those things. No video or extraneous apps. I'd need power supply too. Can someone with more hardware experience comment on what I would need, what kind of prices I'd be looking at, and how best to store and run software? i.e. embedded, RAM, USB? Could I run this on a fanless system? Thank you very much.
