[link=http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329183]Would you like to look at this Microsofts Article on "You may receive an error message when you try to rename a folder on an NTFS partition in Windows XP"???[/link]
wow haha. Nice one Karan. So, the answer to your original question, Dwarfer, is that it appears that Microsoft has indeed pulled their thumbs out of their asses.
so it seems, however their statement of "this fix will be in our next update" didnt get very far, well i must be the only one that hasnt received the updated patch yet
Best way to find this is through internet explorer... Open IE go to toos > Windows Update n see all the updates, it will also tell you about your hardware updates...
