Hi everyone
Last week I purchased a Viewsonic VP930, which had good reviews and is the recommended monitor in the PC Zone hardware section.
It came the next day and I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get it out of the box. Then my excitement was dashed. When I connected it up all I was getting was a scrambled mess. So I checked the cables and connections, which were fine. So I hooked up my trusty old 19” CRT and changed the resolution to 1280 by 1024 and the refresh rate to 60 Hertz and then tried the VP930 again. It was a little better but still had lines going across the screen and the colours were still messed up.
My PC spec is
P4 2.5Ghz,
1Gb DDR RAM
Asus P4S800 board
GeForce 6800GT graphics card
Soundblaster Audigy sound card
1x 80Gb and 1x 200Gb Maxtor hard disks.
Windows XP Home SP2
I tried the VP930 on another machine and it is fine, well actually very nice. I checked the Viewsonic Q & A section but not sure about the scanning frequencies.

I would be very grateful for your thoughts on the problem. Thankyou.
