We currently have a high speed impact printer, which we run 3-part carbon paper through. Is there a laser solution that could be used to replace this?
To use multi-part paper you need to crush the microspheres (the NCR-type paper) or drive the carbon onto the next sheet. I can't see how any laser will do this as it's a different technology altogether. The point of impact printers is that they will allow you to use preprinted forms - whereas modern lasers are not too keen unless you spend a lot. Buy a new impact printer before they become obsolete, or keep you one in tip-top condition by greasing the needles (not too much mind) and cleaning out fluff/ink that hangs around. When you've exhaussted yr pre-prited forms then is the time to change- but why a laser?
