CD-R not readable

    hello everyone,

    i have a LITEON DVD-ROM(the JLMS-XJ165H),it has suddenly stopped reading all-most all kinds of CD-R/RW's, it perfectly reads all DVD-R/RW etc..,all kinds of Pressed DVD-R and CD-R 's are perfectly readable.

    Can somebody tell me is the DVD-ROM out of luck..do i need to trash or upgrade some firmware.if available.

    just to clarify your drive can read / write DVD+/- r & RW but will not read or write CDr / RW, correct ?
