    Hi,
I am trying to back up my files in safe mode because my computer doesn't work in normal mode. But cd rom driver and usb sticks doesn't work in safe mode.I didn't remove any hardware driver recently.I am using Windows XP professional.
Is it possible to run cd rom drive or usb sticks in safe mode?
    Need your help.
    Thanks

The CD drive should read but i wouldnt guarantee burning capabilities in safe mode while it is no suprise the usb no longer works - safe mode is windows without most drivers and applications loading at startup.

You can make your own special version of safe mode however by running 'msconfig.exe' and going through that list and disabling everything but what you need (you may find that 'diagnositic' startup on the first pane will be enough to get you going) but otherwise you'll need to enable the usb drivers and disable nearly everything else in order to do what you are trying.

    Best of luck!
