My Cyberdrive cw078d shows up under my computer in windows xp but it can not read nor burn disks. I can not figure out whats wrong, I tried to find drivers for it, but every link that I could find is down, if anyone can help that would be great.

The data cable that leads the drive to the mainboard might be damaged. Ever tried to replace it?

try removing the item with the exclamation mark over it, then reboot, if XP doesnt detect the CD-RW try adding it maually, you also could do to try the drive on another system and try a different drive on your system, it could also be a bad cable, try replacing the data cable and try using another power cable
