    hello i changed my motherboard
when i first hooked it to a monitor it went through bios and just before it was gonna go to load windows it shutdown never did load windows ,i turned it back on then it went straight to the bios screen and said it was in safe mode ,it was highlighting the cpu ,and said it was in safe mode to protect etc etc before i could read what it said it shut down again,i turn it back on then the screen was blank.

Im thinking of trying to put my cpu from my original motherboard in it and swapping out the power supply i have the power supply that was in the computer prior never got rid of it incase the nwer one did not work but this sounds like its a cpu issue the cpu that came with the board is a bit slower 1.8ghz and i think i have a one that is a bit faster i could put in in the original board ,let me know what this sounds like

either cpu ,power supply or both?

    we need more info...
    what make/model motherboard
what type of cpu (5 alpha numeric code on the chip is better. example: SL793)
doubt its a power supply issue.
could be incompatible cpu for the motherboard or maybe cpu settings in bios is incorrect.
