Changing the Linux desktop

    Well, besides an official release of Haiku being just around the corner, Linux desktop is arguably far from ready for the mainstream (arguably). Anyways, i came across these links, i really like the GoboLinux idea.

    What do you mean by Linux desktop is far from ready?

    Are you saying Linux sytems have not got desktop candidates?

    I can think of at least two.... one ugly and brown and one amazing and blue.... :cool:

    Honestly, i have no idea why i wrote far from, as its more accurate to say very close to. There are just some very minor things Linux needs to do differently before it would be considered a real contender. The only reason Ubuntu even works is because rich people back it, and all the cool kids are like YEAH UBUNTU, but really don't know whats going on.
