Just bought myself a Refurbished IBM ThinkPad T43 for only $1195.00.

    http://www.techcypher.com/thinkpad-18ghz-512mb-40gb-5400rpm-p-155.html

Best part about it is even though it is refurbished the laptop looks completely brand new and has close to about 3 years of remaining warranty from IBM.

IBM is selling the same unit for $2099.

Hm...I hate to judge but as this is your first post, I would say you were site plugging.

I'll see what the general consensus is to this post before deciding what to do with it.

Well, I really do appreciate your honest thought.

Yes, I am new to the forums, but the deal is out there. Since, I took advantage of it thought what better way to starting off then sharing it.

    Have a Good one!

I can see where you're both coming from in this situation.

Waffles - I can se why you think they're site pluging as it's the first post and it's advertising 'a fantastic deal' which seems like they're just advertising and nothing else.

darekwa - I can see why you posted it as you found a brilliant deal that gets a lot of money off a product (in this case a laptop) and you're telling people about it, where better to tell than a computer forum right?

Welcome to the forums darekwa hope you enjoy it here as much as I do.

While I can see the cause for concern, at this point, I don't see an issue with this. However, yes, as a general rule, people tend to be suspicious of people who post deals as their first post. More often than not, these people are trying to use a free message board to be an advertising outlet.

    This is really getting fun.

Matt555, Thanks for your comments and understanding that I am only a hardwareforum user and not an advertiser, as was accused. I was only looking for some help online to troubleshoot some issues ended up on this forum, and since I had recently bought my laptop thought I could share it with all.

Big B, I understand your concern as well, but hey if I were an advertiser I would have disappeared by now, but I haven't. Will keep you fellows posted as I come across more deals on different websites. You guys are doing a great job on these forums, keep it up.
