In the next few weeks I will have 3 Pcs running at my house. Currently I have 2pcs and they are connected to each other by nic cards. These share an ADSL connection and the modem is a Siemens Santis ADSL.

As far as i know i cannot connect the 3rd system by a nic card . Is this correct?

If not what is the cheapest method I can use so that these 3 pcs can share the ADSL connection?

well you could but youd need two more nic cards - one for the third comp and one for one of the others that you would use to bridge the connections. But itd be much easier and faster to just put a switching hub in the middle of them all (you may need to change to patch cables if your using a x-over at the mo).

I think i will use the nic card option. The switch is more expensive plus I need to change cables etc..

I'd suggest getting this router from [link=http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?product_uid=52897]ebuyer[/link] its has very good reviews for something so cheap.

it has 4 ports which should be enough for you? the advantage here would be that you won't need have one of your computers on to allow other/s to use the internet.

try your local store, as you will end up paying more for shipping than the product.

I would just buy an inexpensive firewalled router with an integrated 4-port switch. Cheap, simple & secure. A relatively trouble-free setup which is good for the long run.
