I have a 2wire from SBC that gives off a wireless signal. now, I want to buy a card to receive the wireless signal and i dont know which one. I want to now if it matters what kind of card i get or are there some cards that only work with certain routers? if so then what can i get to receive my 2wrie's signal?
Its a pretty good guess that your router is running a 802.11g standard wireless network. Buy any wireless card that says 802.11g on it, sometimes it says 54mbs or 'G'. On a matter of preference I have found Linksys cards to be very good
