clearing computer

    would be grateful for any help or advice
    we have had a desktop computer for nearly 4 years with windows xp we have now bought a laptop so have decided to give the desktop to my husbands brother for our 2 nieces but i was wanting to clear our stuff off it as much as possible before handing it over but not being much of a compter whizz not sure of the best way to go about this grateful for any hints and tips

    The best way to clear it is to probably re-install Windows.
    If you have the Windows XP CD and your Motherboard driver CD, this can be accomplished very easily. Will take less than an hour of your time.

    Just want to add little bit in Pelvis quote, Do windows installation with complete format. Delete partitions and set them again. computer will automatically do formatting for you.....

    Other way is go to Add Remove Programs and remove the programs from there which you dont want to give. Have a look in each drive and folder, delete all the songs, pictures or any other stuff which doesnt require installation. (This ones bit long and will not give you enough satisfaction)
