Im looking for a app/tool etc that can crack a BIOS password, which supports a decent number of BIOS's! So far I've only managed to find windoze apps which claim to do this, Im looking for something i could add into a live cd (Im trying to turn my Backtrack Live cd into the ultimate security disc )
You only need to take the CMOS battery out. And besides, you won't be able to boot from a CD if a power on password is enabled
Thats not what i had in mind.... i need the bios password to edit the boot order on a room of computers, so i can put Live cd's in each one! im not really up for removing the case of every computer in the room, and the cases are weird, im not 100% sure they can be opend hah: Planned for muckup day! Im even gona try get them working with NOVELL so anyone who does use them can log in (Linux live cd's arnt coverd by the 'user agreement' LOL)
So, you're looking for a remote cmos password cracker? I've never heard of one, and I think you're out of luck on this one.
Not remote, as i have physical access to the computers! I just need a way of reading whats in the CMOS, to get the password hash (or it might even be plain text )
