Ok my computer came with a video card in it like 2 and a half years ago and i am wanting to put another in it, is this possible and if so, what would i have to do to the old one?

If it already came with a card in (not onboard) then you'll have to find out if it's AGP or PCI-E. You will then need to find a card that you want thats the correct type (AGP or PCI-E). I'm not sure of any easy way to find out. It may be in the documentation that came with your computer.

if you are using Win use this to identify your mobo, then just either post your mobo here or visit your mobo manufacturers website to see which grafx card (if any) are compapable with your system

in the attatched file, as you will see from mine (BIOS OEM Signon) it includes my mobo model (GA-8SIMLH)

from that i can tell its a Gigabyte board, model: 8SIMLH,

but your BIOS OEM signon is empty,

however i've found (from BIOS info) your system is a HP with intergrated sound (AC / 97 and integrated grfx (Intel 82845G)

you may have an AGP slot but the only way i know to tell for sure is to look, is there brown slot on the mobo, if there is this is your AGP slot, probably X2 / X4 going by your BIOS date

so to sum up you need to check if you have an AGP slot, and before you install a new grafx card you may neen to disable onboard grafx

i've just discovered that your mobo can't be identifyed easily because it has a Phoenix BIOS, i personally have only ever dealt with Award or AMI (American Megatrends, Inc.) BIOS's

but have a look at your mobo to see if theres a brown slot
