Alright well as I was playing some games on my computer yesterday, newegg finally shipped me my new Case. So I promptly logged off, gutted my old case, and installed all the hardware into my new one. All went fine, plugged it all up, and no response.

It seemed as though no power was getting to it. Since my motherboard (MSI Neo-4 F) doesnt have a power LED, I had no way of knowing if by some odd event my PSU had suddenly died. So I took it out and plugged it into another computer, and it started up just fine.

So this leads me to believe that the PSU is working as intended, but that something is wrong with my mobo. Though i have no idea how to troubleshoot this problem. Is there a way i can test my mobo, or is it just scrap metal now?

Did by some off chance it got static electricty while installing, and now everything is dead?

How can i come to an answer on this problem, just short of throwing it away, which isnt what I want to do.f

Well, do a bare bones configuration, consiting of:

    -Motherboard
    -CPU
    -CPU heatsink
    -1 stick of RAM
-video card (unless your m/b has on-board video)
    -power supply

Set this up outside of the case, and see if it will power on. You can use a flat-head screwdriver to short the pins for powering on the system. If it does, make sure you've installed the mounting studs to align with mounting holes on the motherboard.
