    Hi all,

I have some strange problem with my computer system, my computer hangs at uncertain time, sometime it runs for as many hours or sometime few minutes. I have noticed one thing , if I disconnect the psu cable (20 pins) from motherboard for some time and then reconnect and restart then it runs for few hours otherwise only few minutes.

    System Config:-

    Processor :- Pentium D
    Ram :- 512 DDR1
    motherboard :- mercury 865
    PSU :- 450 Watt
    .......................................................................................................................

I have already tried new thermal paste and the below steps:-

    1. Applied thermal paste
    2. Clean RAM
    3. Removed one side panel of cabinet for good air flow
    4. Removed Dust from motherboard

Please help me asap. Is this motherboard problem or PSU or something else?

    Thanks in advance.

This can be a number of things, first of all, Does it freeze up in Safe mode ? Or when you are in the Bio's ? Please check all fans, especially the fan over the CPU...
