Computer keeps restarting

Starting this morning, my computer shuts down, restarts and then shuts down again. It keeps doing this over and over again. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

try to check your hardware eg. like power supply,vga card,u can check your hdd also,mayb it hav bad sector with it...

*u can run your hdd checking with hdd regenerator

Mine did that a couple months ago, Its going through a loop... Its a SMART
Virus.. Better run ANY/All AntiVirus software too remove, You can also check with trojan remover..

alright, how do I run the anti-virus programs if it keeps restarting after being booted for 2 minutes? How exactly would I have come by this virus?

have u try to boot into safe mode..

At startup press F8 to get into safe mode, If you are able to get into safe mode then run Anti virus program to rule out any Virus..Next try system restore, and restore to an earlier date..I think most restore points will go back 7 days..
If that doesn't work, Then you only have one more Option , You will have to format and do a reinstall..
