The PSU and RAM are fine. It's a new RAM stick (DDR2 667MHz) which made my onboard video work again (I previously had no image at all), and the PSU I tried it in another computer and everything worked fine, so it's probably HDD or Mobo.
Whenever I try booting it goes to the XP loading screen, then a very quick blue screen message appears and the PC reboots. Also, I can't get it to boot any CDs from the CD/DVD drive! So I can't even run tests in an Ubuntu live CD.
Here's a video showing the problems:
The error is:
c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file):
/SystemRoot/System32/Config/SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.
Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete.
