Computer shuts down when I click on Setup Launcher to install software

    Hello all. I am running Windows XP SP 3. When I attempt to install software from the CD by starting the SetUp Launcher(setupexe.) my computer shuts down. I have used this same cd on other computers and it works great but will not install on the computer that I really need/want it on. I have tried installing it while in safe mode with no success. Someone recommended trying Windows Installer so I downloaded that and cannot figure out how to use it...let alone even find it on my system. I paid big bucks for these software cd's and cannot seem to get them to work on my computer. Any suggestions?

    i'm not completely sure of what you mean..
    What are you trying to install? Windows XP?

    Have you tried to just copy the software to desktop and then try to set it up ???

    Do you get any error messages when you boot back up, such as Windows has recovered from a serious error?
    Are there any reports in the Event Log relating to it?

    It would be the problem of that software which are you trying to install in your computer. Can you share with us with the name of that software?

    It may happen due to any dangerous threats that are running and attached with your set up launcher files,
    very first you need to scan your system after that try to install software once again.
    and please tell is there any type of warning message your computer shows before getting shut down.

    Hi,,, I found problem same as you with my PC. I had a problem in my computer, when install Dreamweaver my system shut down. I'm a busy person. then I searched on google for my PC problems. I didn't find any exact solution. I was looking for.. Microsoft’s contact no., but I reached Helppconline. I found toll free no from helppconline.com and I called on that no. and a guy picked my phone name Mike he was talking to extremely polite and smart. It took 30 minutes to solve my PC problem. He accessed my system and get repaired. after that day my system is working properly. I have no issue to talking Helppconline. Thank you very much! Good luck

    Hi, Joe
    First you can format complete drive by DOS Command and remake all drive. I’m not able to write full steps but I recommended get help by helppconline because I got help many times from helppconline by live chat.

    I had same problem, I tried to fixed this but I can't then I googled and found the toll free number of helppconline, they fixed my PC problem in 30 min. after that I haven't faced any problem till now.
