So I'm here looking for some advice. I have 2 computers 1 HPTC and one main. The HPTC is getting old and needs an upgrade as it's starting to stuggle with some of the newer files coming through. On top of this my main PC is also dated now. I figure buy a new main pc and move the old parts down. Below is my current Main PC: Coolermaster Praetorian (PAC-T01) Coolermaster eXtreme Power 500W (RP-500-PCAR) Core 2 Duo E6300 ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus 4Gb DDR2 400MHz (1Gb sticks) GeForce 9600 GT This is my HTPC: Jeantech 450W (JN120F-450-AP) (See pic) Zalman HD135 Case Athlon 64 X2 4200+ GAMA69GM-S2H 4Gb DDR2 Ram (1Gb sticks) On board Gfx (Radeon X1200 Series) If possible I would like to keep the stuff below as part of the new build: Coolermaster full alloy case (Will drill 120mm+ holes in needs be). Coolermaster 500W power supply (Don't know if this is going to be meaty enough. Nvidia 9600GT (I don't play games and I can't afford a workstation GFX card) The HPTC currently uses onboard GFX so I will need to buy a new passive GFX card for that. I'm thinking "1GB Asus HD 6450 Silent". So to business: Bulldozer (Prob the 6core) Does anyone know when it is likely to hit the shops? Asus Sabertooth 990FX Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler 2no. (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Racing Red, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC, CAS 8-8-8-24, XMP, 1.5V 90GB Corsair Force Series 3, 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s SSD How does this look? Last time I really looked into building a computers I was buying a core2 duo so I'm out of touch . I'm also not sure if the PSU will hold up to a spec like this. I use the main PC for normal day to day stuff but also use it for work which involves: 3D studio max, Inventor, Revit and 3D studio max. Some of these are very heavy on RAM usage hence the 16gb (My work computer has 24Gb!) I have a budget of about £600-700 Any help of advice would be great Thanks, Sniper. P.S Hi
