Hey gang. This just sucks. My perfectly-functioning PC received a decent bump today, which immediately locked it up. I can still hear that awful sound... Anyway, now it won't boot. I'm not sure if I fried my video card or if there's a worse cause. No startup beep whatsoever, and no video signal to the monitor. Fans and LEDs work fine, but the video card keeps winding up to full power, then stopping, then winding up again every couple seconds. Unplugged the system, took out the video card, but the system still won't boot with the integrated graphics. What might be causing this? Am I going to have to replace the mobo and/or video card?
I think the hard drive is broken, and the system is waiting for the hard drive to respond. So unplug your hard drive and turn on your computer. Does it show anything on the screen now?
Removing the hard drive didn't do a thing. Darn. I've now taken the board completely out of the case, and the only components connected are the CPU, power cables, and the HDMI cable. Still no video output or beeps.
Yes, the CPU fan spins as well as the video card's fan when it's plugged in. Still no beep, and Foxconn's warranty service blows.
