Are you sure it's only when you're only playing games. Runescape is only a java application that runs in a web browser. Do you do anything but play games?
I use my comp to play games a lot , When i play Runescape i only occosianlly does it when there is loads of people on the screen or something , I have ran pc wizard it says my power/aux can start at 72 then when i play runescape it goes up to 92 this right , And it happens in Game like warcraft, guild wars , Diablo 2 , Etc Monitoring Chip : ITE IT8712F CPU Core : 1.28 V Aux. : 2.59 V +3.3V Voltage : 3.30 V +5V Voltage : 6.85 V +12V Voltage : 11.25 V Chassis Fan : 661 rpm Processor Fan : 4821 rpm Power/Aux Temperature : 84 °C : Hard Disk Temperature ST380013AS : 34 °C this any help?
While BIOS readings aren't known for accuracy, 11.25V is out of spec for the 12V line, so it's likely that that is one of the problems. What info do you see regarding the CPU temp?
You'd have to replace the current unit with a better one. this would be an excellent budget unit. This is the same thing if you're in the UK. I don't know what you're using to read the temps, but it should be picking the CPU's temps. If not [google]Speedfan[/google] can do that for you.
That's kinda warm for idle temps, but not deadly. Still, I'd first suggest cleaning out the case with a can of compressed air, and those should be rather cheap ($5-10 in the US). Pay attention to the CPU heatsink and fans.
not really i can feel cool air coming out the side of it and back? this is driving me mad i need this fixed
Motherboard temp readings and voltage readings aren't particularly accurate, but I'd still suspect the PSU as being an issue. However, in the realm of free, [google]Memtest[/google] is a nifty little program to have on hand. It's available for floppy or an ISO you can burn to CD (my personal choice). You boot off of it (by default the floppy and optical drives are set to boot before the hard drive), and let it run for a few hours, so you may want to run it overnight while you sleep. If you're getting errors, somethings's up, and we can go from there.
