Ok...ill start from the beginning, around 2 weeks ago, my computer started mysteriously crashing..i dont know why...And now, windows loads up, but when i log on, it tells me to avoid causing damage to my computer it must shut down. It also said that i should remove any new hardware or software...I then went and uninstalled some new programs but it is still being a bitch and giving me the blue screen...Can anyone please help me out...and can it be a virus causing this? maybe by deleting or replacing some of my windows files? Im not an expert but its a guess.... Also, my dad has a Windows XP disk....now...if i have to format my computer, can i use the disk my dad has? The computer i purchased from Dell did not come with an XP disk...So can i? thankyou so much in advance -DarkMageGL
I would suggest doing a clean install using the XP CD, your serial number should be on the side of the computer if you have dell. do you get any error messages at all?
What was the operating system that u were working. Based on the operating system versions we can do a restore and fix the problem. This is mainly due to backup the data. If u have some important data in your machine then u need to do a restore and the can install windows XP on u r machine. Let me know abt the operating system I will provide u with the steps that u need to take to recover u r system.
